On the road again

15th of June, 2020. Yes, the borders are open, let's drive😜 But first we must say goodbye to our friends Bouwdewijn and Eva. Despite the Covid crisis we had a wonderful time at camper Polder Flora. 

Also thanks to the camping owners Andre and Jeanette, who provided us a private shower and toilet. Link to Camping Polder Flora

Whe started in Breda, visited the bar Whisky & Gin from Mark and Pauline Link to Whisky and Gin We had a wonderful night with delicious food, drinks and even dancing. 

June 16th we passed the Belgian borders and drove to France, Caudry. Camper pitch next to a park. Due to Covid, no toilets available and no jogging allowed ☹️. 

Next stop Merry-sur-Yonne. Great camp site. Started with jogging along the river, then we did some shopping and drank a beer on a terrace. Yes, we are traveling again, feels good😜

  

Louhans, the camping was hard to find, we already decided to move on and by coincidence we passed the camping. Great spot and top terrace. Delicious tapas. 

Jurgen's wish, d'Ardeche. Beautiful. 

 

Here we went canoeing. 32 K, normal paddling time 6 to 7 ours, but we did it in 4 hours and almost missed the end point. The sign was not very clear, 😳

Arles, the village where Vincent van Gogh lived. Here we stayed on a nice camping site next to beautiful purple colored salt lakes. Here we did a tour on our bikes along the lakes and Flamingo's

 

  

Next stop Argeles sur Mer. Nice touristic place near the sea. Here we found a very cheap camping with live music. 

Back in Spain after 4 months, Pals. Huge campsite with a beautiful swimming pool. 

 

Next stop in Spain was Peniscola, the Coca-Cola tasted weird😂. 

On our way to our friends Bouwdewijn and Eva. They asked a Dutch couple, who are starting a campsite, if we could stay there a few nights. This campsite is really close to the house that our friends are renting. And yes, of course we were welcome. The camping is located between Cretas and Arnes. Because of Covid the opening of the camping is delayed, but it is already a lovely site.

Here Jurgen followed a workshop "laying foundation". 

 

And he scored a 9 out of 10👍🥂

 

Eric also cooked a 3 course menu for us, it was really delicious. 

Not far from Cretas is Valderrobles. Here Boudewijn and Eva are going to start eco lodge Casa Calma.

We stayed at the camping site El Roble. Nice but very busy campsite during the weekend.

Boudewijn advice us to go to Albarracin as it is called the most beautiful city of Spain and  he was right. 

  

 

On our way to Salamanca we stayed for 1 night in Hoyos del Espino. Simple, but a cheap camper pitch and everything was there, even free Wifi😉 and we were the only guests. 

The surroundings are beautiful, good motivation for a work-out.
