Morocco
18 januari 2020 - Sevilla, Spanje
Morroco: Donkeys, alcohol hard to get, marijuana very easy to get, a lot of children, barking dogs, cats, beautiful nature, very kind people.
We took the ferry from Tarifa to Tanger. The first question that the Moroccan customs asked, "do you have a drone". Luckily we were informed that a drone is strictly forbidden in Morocco, so we stored the drone at a camping in Spain.
The first campsite in Morocco was OK and the weather was perfect. 25 degrees and sun.
In Tanger we ordered lunch. After finishing a huge plate of shrimps I wanted to pay, but it seems that this was just the starter. The main course was another plate full with fried fish and that for only €8😜.
Next stop was Martil. Here we found out that the supermarket Carrefour sells wine and beer. Hard to find, a hidden store (no signs) behind the supermarket. For Islam people it is forbidden to buy and drink alcohol.
The weather was bad, a lot of rain, so we decided to go more to the south, Chefchouen.
Chefchouen is also called the blue city. See the pictures and you understand why😜
Mouly Idriss Zerhoun and yes, the weather is perfect🌞. The groceries here are selling everything, even living animals🤔
The following destination was Fez. Here we went to the Medina (Old Town), Jurgen transformed into Ali Baba, we had a great lunch and we got lost🙄
Because it was Christmas we went to the supermarket, bought wine and a lot of food.
On the way to Provence de Taza we saw this truck😂
Next stop was Azrou. Beautiful camping inside a castle.
Camping Bin El Ouidane, here we met traveller's from Great Britain and drank a lot of 🍷🍷🍷
Marrakesh, beautiful campsite. Here we celibrated New years eve.
Today we went to Essaouira and it is Paula's birthday, our sister in law🥂. Here we played minigolf. 😜
On our way to Oualidia.
Nice campsite with a great view.
With tajine delivery service😀
And fresh squid
El Jadida, this town has a nice, relaxed Medina.
Next stop was Ben Slimane, great camping between the cities Casablanca and Rabat. Here we bought fresh fish with green bones (Hake), enough for 2 days😋.

Camping Moulay Bousselham, here we had a great lunch.
Asilah, this town has a beautiful and clean Medina.
This was our last stop in Morocco. On our way to the ferry we did some shopping at a supermarket. Jurgen was interested in a English version of the Qur-an. We couldn't find the price. A lady with a Niqab asked if she could help. She spoke Dutch. Jurgen told her that he was interested and want to know the price. She said, "I want to give you the book, please" and she gave him 200 dhm (€20).
We took the ferry back to Spain. I couldn't find the return tickets, so we had to buy a new ones😩. When we were on the ferry I found the tickets ☹️.
